Mainstream Admissions
Freshfield Primary School follow the Admissions Procedure set out by Sefton Council. Children are admitted in accordance with the Local Authority's policy for a single admission date. Any child reaching the age of 5 between 1st September and 31st August may be admitted full time to school on the first day of the autumn term in September after they have turned 4 years of age. The allocation of places is made by the Local Authority.
In Year Admissions
If you have recently arrived in Sefton or you are looking to move in to the Sefton area and are seeking places for children part way through the academic year, you will need to apply for a place through the Local Authority’s admissions application form. The Local Authority will then decide if a place can be offered ‘in year’. Guidance and information can be found by visiting www.sefton.gov.uk/inyearadmissions in the first instance. In the first instance, the Head teacher is happy to advise parents of the availability of places known to school.
SEN Admissions

Nursery Admissions
Children are eligible for admission to our Nursery from their third birthday. Applications are welcomed for children from the age of 2 and will be kept on a waiting list according to their age.
