Semi-Formal Play Pathway
The Play Pathway is tailored for pupils who independently initiate engagement and are ready for structured, purposeful learning. While play remains a primary vehicle for learning, structured teaching is gradually introduced to build functional literacy, numeracy, and peer interaction. A defining measure of progress on this pathway is cross-contextualisation: the ability of pupils to generalise and apply communication, independence, and problem-solving skills across various everyday environments.
